About GillPavey

I am now in my fourth year of freelancing, following five years as an employee for magazine and newspaper publishers. I moved from the UK to Ireland in 2004 but serve clients from anywhere in the world. I hold an MSc in finance, a diploma in proofreading and I am a full member of APEFI. In 2013 I won the Small Business Sunday Award from Dragons’ Den’s Theo Paphitis.
I cover academic areas, especially work by ESL authors, in mainly science (including social science) and business/finance areas. Business editing ranges from polishing translated material for international companies to proofreading tender documents. I proofread novels and non-fiction books for authors prior to submission, as well as for publishing houses.
Copywriting is relatively recent but I am in high demand, particularly for web copy, mailshots and slogans. Clients are spread across Europe!
