About Jane Davis

Hello!

I’m an experienced editor and proofreader, available for small, large or ongoing jobs.

I have been a proofreader, editor and language consultant for over a decade, alongside my business as a Swedish and French to English (UK) translator.

I specialise in helping second-language speakers of English make their writing fluent and correct.

I have an educational background in archaeology and museums (a BA degree in Archaeology and Ancient History from the University of Wales, and an MA from the University of York in Archaeological Heritage Management).

I’m particularly interested in the fields of archaeology, history, the social sciences and personal development, but one of the great things about my work is that I get to work on such a variety of texts and learn new things from my clients every day!

My most recent editing project was “Fate’s Weave”, a novel set in Viking-age Sweden, written by Ragnar Hambraeus.
