About Sean

I am a fully trained proofreader and a member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP), abiding by their Code of Practice. I also hold a First-Class Honours degree in English Language.

I have completed The Publishing Training Centre’s core proofreading training course, passing with a Merit, and I am proficient in proofreading and editing Microsoft Word and PDF documents. I am also experienced in the use of BSI symbols for proof correction.

Prior to becoming a full-time proofreader, I worked as a professional English teacher in the UK and various other parts of the world for over ten years. My qualifications, training and extensive experience working in the education sector ensure that I have an excellent understanding of the intricacies of the English language. I also possess a keen eye for detail, and you can be assured that the proofreading that I undertake will be meticulous, with jobs completed by the given deadlines without fail.

My area of expertise lies in the proofreading and proof-editing academic documents such as university-level theses.
