About Anstee Editing

A professional proofreader and copy-editor, my specialist subject areas are law and government, with experience in social sciences generally. My focus is on academic texts, working on both published books and student manuscripts.

I am a member of, and trained by, the Society of Editors and Proofreaders. I also work as a freelance supervisor for BPP University Law School.

My recent work includes copy-editing law and social science books for OUP (Rodger et al., EU Antitrust Damages Directive/Mary Cox, Hunger in War and Peace) and proofreading for Chatto & Windus (Helena Kennedy QC, Eve Was Shamed) and Vintage Press. I have also proofread academic essays and business reports.

I previously worked in the Ministry of Justice civil law team where, as part of my policy role, I copy-edited and proofread a range of published and internal documents, such as consultation papers and ministerial briefings.
