I am an experienced academic and non-fiction proofreader and copyeditor who provides a meticulous, holistic and stress-free service, ensuring that your work reads well and looks good.
Originally a maths teacher in the UK and Namibia, I moved to Japan in 2003, where I fell in love with the job of copyediting/proofreading! I have worked with some of Asia’s top scientists and engineers for over 15 years, enabling their work to be published in the world’s most prestigious journals. I am equally comfortable working in other disciplines such as philosophy and social sciences. In addition, I regularly take on freelance copyediting and proofreading work for Granta Publications.
I am an Intermediate Member of CIEP, the UK’s main standards body for editing and proofreading.
