Kate – freelance copy-editor and proofreader

Hello! I am based in London and I have extensive experience of proofreading and copy-editing a range of documents, including:

articles
book chapters
conference presentations
undergraduate and postgraduate theses, essays and dissertations
grant applications
CVs and job applications

I have an MA and a PhD and I previously worked in academia, so I am particularly experienced with academic writing. I will correct your spelling and grammar, as well as rewriting where appropriate, to ensure your final text is polished and well presented.

I have also worked as an English teacher for many years, helping international students with their general English, academic English and business English.

I speak French and Italian fluently, and I have a good knowledge of Portuguese too.
