I am happy to take on any project, but I do feel most comfortable — due to my experience, education, and training — in the Humanities (e.g., linguistics, philosophy, theology, and sociology). I may edit and proofread by day, but by night I double as a theological researcher and author focusing on Islamic studies — so if you find yourself in need, I am able to accurately translate (and transliterate) Arabic into English and/or edit already-prepared translations.
With over ten years of experience in the optical field, I am also very comfortable with subjects related to opticianry, optometry, and ophthalmology.
But my abilities are not restricted to academia, as I am also an avid fan of science-fiction and its various sub-genres (particularly hard sci-fi!), and will bring my editing and proofreading expertise to bear on such works with the utmost efficiency (so they can live long and prosper).
I am a soon-to-be Intermediate-level SfEP member and a freelancer for Proofed. My experience to date, with the exception of several university dissertations, includes extensive work with ESL writers (one of whom has published multiple books in the Islamic studies field).
