I believe that everyone has a story–at least one!–and that those stories are meant to be shared. I believe good stories enrich us all.

What I offer clients is my passion for sharing human stories coupled with a unique mix of skills and experience. I provide freelance services in editing, writing, proofreading, book design, and publishing coordination.

Over 25+ years as a communications professional, I’ve edited and written everything from news briefs to full-length books, including news articles, press kits, marketing materials, newsletters, brochures, web content, and much more. For many years I also edited and published a monthly community newspaper.

As an editor, I’ve worked with Chicago Manual of Style, AP Stylebook, and clients’ proprietary style guides; I am a member of the Northwest Editors Guild.

At present much of my work is with authors looking to self-publish, both fiction and nonfiction. I love working directly with authors to help them polish their work and bring their books into the world. I believe that every author has unique strengths and unique needs, so my goal is always to be flexible and find each author’s best way of working.

I also offer book design and formatting services for both print and ebooks, along with publishing coordination.
