I am an experienced proofreader, translator (Japanese-English, French-English) and editor, working in the arts, humanities, academia, journalism and fiction.

I have a PhD in Shakespeare Studies from the University of Birmingham (on the contemporary performance and translation of Shakespeare in Japan) and a degree in Japanese from the University of Manchester. I have worked with various arts and education organisations, including theatres such as Shakespeare’s Globe, Saitama Arts Theater and Matsumoto Performing Arts Centre, and universities and other research bodies.
I am familiar with working with both British and American English, and I have over five years experience as a professional translator.
