I am a native English speaker from the UK, who is also proficient in proofreading documents in US English. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and a Master’s in Mental Health Studies. Additionally, I have completed comprehensive proofreading training.

I’m also a professional researcher with eleven years of experience writing and proofreading a range of documents including reports, journal articles and essays. Throughout my career and studies, I have gained extensive experience in proofreading research reports, articles, blog posts and more.

Many people have misconceptions regarding the role of a proofreader. A lot of the time, people will say they want a proofreader when they actually want someone to edit and rewrite a document. A proofreader will do the following:
