Catherine Gallagher – Proofreader with French and Spanish language skills

I’m a trained proofreader with a sharp eye for detail and a friendly and flexible approach. I have a love of language, reading and writing, and know the importance of having a second pair of eyes look over your written creations.

As a Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) and registered member of ELT Publishing Professionals, I’m experienced in proofreading educational books and resources covering a range of academic subjects. Recent non-educational projects have included a book on somatic healing and a David Attenborough biography/trivia title.

I have a BA (Hons) in French and Spanish and a background in translation, which lends itself well to bilingual publications, or when English isn’t your first language. My editing experience also covers business, the third sector, the arts, travel and tourism, urban design, student assignments and transcription post-editing, mainly for NGOs.
