Find a Proofreader is a web directory specialising in freelance professionals working with words. Our current categories are proofreaders and editors, copywriters, indexers, ghostwriters, CV writers, translators and virtual assistants. Whether you're an author, student, businessperson, job seeker or indeed anyone else who needs help with their writing, we're here to help you find the right professional for your project.

Who can join Find a Proofreader?

Anyone can join Find a Proofreader for free. If you wish to review one of our advertiser's service, for instance, you will need to register with us – and there is no cost for this. However, if you are a freelance professional or business owner who wishes to submit a listing, there is a cost (see How much does Find a Proofreader cost? below). As long as you run a business that fits into one of our categories, you may join.

How much does Find a Proofreader cost?

The cost to advertise on Find a Proofreader varies as we have a range of options available to suit your individual needs. The three main options are: standard listing, category featured listing, and sidebar banner ad.

Rates for the proofreaders/editors category:

Standard listing: £30 per year

Category featured listing: £50 per year

Rates for all other categories:

Standard listing: £10 per year

Category featured listing: £30 per year

Display advertising

Sidebar banner ad: £250 per year

How do I contact an advertiser?

If you have found a proofreader, copywriter, indexer or other freelancer to meet your needs, you can contact them in a number of ways. You may wish to use the contact form that appears on the right-hand side of each listing, or you may wish to use their contact details. If you would like to reach out to more than one advertiser at once, we highly recommend you use our popular Get a Quote system. What is Get a Quote?

Our Get a Quote system allows you the customer to submit your project details to several advertisers at once, saving you heaps of time and maximising your chances of getting  some quotes quickly. Whether you require proofreading, copywriting, ghost writing or any of the other services our freelancers offer, simply fill out the form on the Get a Quote page and we will forward to all our relevant advertisers.
