About eagleediting

I’m based in the north east of Scotland and started freelancing as a proofreader in late 2022.

I’ve completed formal proofreading training through the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (of which I’m an intermediate member), including a course on proofreading theses and dissertations. The proofreading work I’ve done so far has been mostly non-fiction and academic, though I have worked on a small number of fiction texts as well.

My background is in mechanical engineering – I have an MEng from the University of Strathclyde – and I also hold a diploma in leadership and management.

I’m a huge motorsport fan and have been watching Formula 1 for almost 30 years. My main hobby is motorsport marshalling, which I’ve been doing for over 20 years.
