I offer professional and affordable proofreading and editing services for independent authors, academics, writers and businesses. I also offer an early manuscript review (beta reading) service for independent authors.
As an Intermediate Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP), I follow its code of practice. I have completed several proofreading and editing courses with the CIEP, the Publishing Training Centre (PTC) and the Writers Bureau.
My fiction editing experience includes YA, fantasy, romance (regency and erotica) and women’s fiction. I have beta reading experience in YA, MG, fantasy, romance, thriller and action-adventure. My non-fiction editing experience includes CVs, cover letters, dissertations, rules for a game and the storyboards for a game app. I have edited in UK and US English, and I’ve worked with people whose first language is not English.
Prior to retraining as a proofreader and editor, I worked in the architectural design industry for twelve years, so when it comes to proofreading academic or business texts, I specialise in architecture and design-related disciplines.

This is the third time I work with Victoria, I am so happy with her work on my novel, short story and novella. She is a fantastic editor (for proof-edit and line-edit), with a keen eye for detail. She picks everything from punctuation, grammar, strange sentence structure (which is often my case as someone that has spent more than half her life in none-english-speaking countries and practices a foreign language at home). I also love her explanations so that I can amend myself and grow as a stronger, more confident writer. I can’t recommend her enough.
I can’t thank Victoria enough for the help and support she has given me. She certainly went that extra mile to help me achieve my writing experience. The knowledge and the time consuming advice she has given me as a new writer has enabled me to publish my work. I have no hesitation of recommending Victoria and will hopefully be using her services again in the not too distant future.
