About FoxFreelancing

Books are my treasures. Since I was a child, I have always loved reading. I have always had such a love for words and how they can have such a huge impact on our lives. I realised that I wanted to work with words all day, every day.

I went to college and studied a Bachelor of Science degree in Multimedia, in Dublin City University (DCU), Ireland. I learned a lot from this course from the production side of things. However, my favourite part was always the writing of reports and editing. The editing skills I have learned in college has helped me to realise my talents with editing and proofreading.

At the start of 2020, I completed an Editing and Proofreading Diploma with Centre of Excellence and received a Distinction result of 96%. I am also currently partaking in Proofreading Academy’s online course, as well as Caitlin Pyle’s online proofreading course: General Proofreading: Theory and Practice. I am currently doing some volunteer proofreading work with Project Gutenberg.

As someone who has been struggling to find her place in this world, I finally feel I have discovered it. I have always had a talent when it comes to spelling, grammar and punctuation. To a lot of people, this may not even be considered a ‘talent.’ But that isn’t true. While it may not be an apparent or showcasing talent, it is still a talent. And I want to use these skills to do something I love, to find my place in this world, and to finally be happy.
